Answering my 30 research questions #1

 1. Is milk really good for our body?

Milk DOES do a body good. This is according to Madelyn Fernstorm from the article in NBC News.

Milk is good for especially development and maintenance of strong bones and teeth.

However, milk is health plus only if you can digest readily. This is the large part of the confusion.

Milk is a nutrient powerhouse. Some people get digestive upset from milk, but much of people can digest milk just fine. This upset is almost always from the lactose (milk sugar), which needs the enzyme "lactose" to be digested.

People who lack that enzyme or don't have enough of it experience lactose intolerance. It's quite rare to have a true milk allergy, where milk's protein (casein) cannot be digested.

Cow's milk is a healthy choice, if it works for you. If you don't drink milk (or consume dairy products) make sure your alternatives provide plenty of protein, calcium, and vitamin D.

Milk has a taste that's familiar and loved from infants. And it also has a powerful set of nutrients that encourage people to make milk intake a lifelong habit to help support healthy bones and teeth. If you are lactose intolerant, try a lactose-free milk.

Reading this article, I again realized that milk is good for your body, and that we should be drinking them or at least taking in some articles that contain nutrients.
